AAFP approved CME Homeopathic Course

The Illinois Homeopathic Medical Association wants to make AIH members aware of upcoming AAFP (American Academy of Family Physicians) approved CME courses this spring in spectacular Montreal, Canada.

See <http://www.homeopathy.ca/courses.html> for course info.

Course I: Essentials of Acute and Chronic Prescribing, May 31 - June 6 (This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 47.75 Elective credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians.)

Course II: Illustrated Comparative Materia Medica Pura, June 9-13 (This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 30 Elective credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians.)

The courses are held at McGill University at the foot of Mont Royal. Within walking distance are comfortable accommodations and innumerable fine restaurants with virtually every imaginable type of cuisine.

These courses have been approved for AAFP CME credit for each of the last 2 years, but because CME was approved quite late, not many MDs and DOs took advantage of this credit opportunity.  Now, in the third year of credit approval we risk losing credit approval from the AAFP if more physicians (esp. AAFP members who can report these credits easily online) don't participate in these courses and report their credit to AAFP.   These courses are highly recommended to any serious homeopathic medical practitioner.

As you may know, the 3 largest CME accreditors for physicians (AAFP, AOA, AMA) have all been fairly reluctant to grant CME credit for anything but a cursory introduction to homeopathy.  So when credit gets granted for homeopathic practitioner courses by these institutions, it benefits us all to support and attend these courses.
