Event Description: The American Institute of Homeopathy (AIH), The Faculty of Homeopathy (the pre-eminent homeopathic organization in the U.K.), and the prestigious International Research Group on Very Low Dose and High Dilution Effects host the first large-scale homeopathic research conference in the U.S. – the XXXVI GIRI Meeting – on October 20-22 titled “Groundbreaking Science: Homeopathy and the Future of Global Health.” The event will be held at UConn Health. UConn Health is a major medical school and a teaching hospital in Connecticut. The event will feature leading research scientists and physicians from around the world presenting the latest basic science, pre-clinical and clinical research in homeopathy.

The event is open to the public, is virtual and in-person, and if you are unable to attend on the days it takes place, it will be recorded for later viewing by all conference registrants.

Location and Parking Information for In-Person Visitors: To attend the conference, please enter the main Health Center entrance in the Main Building (“MB” on the campus map, at 300 UConn Health Boulevard) and proceed to Keller Auditorium. You will find Keller Auditorium at the bottom of the escalator off the main lobby. Parking on Friday, October 20th will be in Garage 1 (see campus map), and on Saturday, October 21, and Sunday October 22, it will be in Main (G3)/Patient (M2)/Visitor (H1) lots near the main entrance (see the UConn Health Campus Map).

Instructions for Virtual Attendees: All virtual attendees will receive an email the week before the conference with log-in information for attending the conference remotely.

How to Submit an Abstract: If you have an interest in submitting an abstract for consideration by the conference, please use this link and follow the instructions on the right side of the page: https://giri-society.org/next-meeting/.

Hotels: The reserved hotel room blocks and discounts for the conference will be released after September 20, 2023. While you will still be able to reserve a room after that date – it will be at the regular price.

There are three hotels to choose from: the Farmington Inn, Homewood Suites by Hilton, and the Avon Old Farms Hotel. A room block has been reserved at each. Homewood Suites is less than .25 miles from UConn Health, and they will be providing twice daily (AM and PM) shuttle service to UConn Health and back to the hotel. The Farmington Inn is ~0.5 miles from the conference. Avon Old Farms Hotel is ~1.5 miles from the event. There is no shuttle service from the Farmington Inn or Avon Old Farms Hotel. A special room rate of $149 (plus tax) per night is available to conference attendees at the Farmington Inn and Avon Old Farms Hotel. The cost at Homewood Suites is $154 per night (plus tax).
