About Professor Dr. Samir A. Chaukkar

Dr Samir has graduated in homeopathy in 1992 from Mumbai University, India followed by post graduate training through British Institute of Homeopathy, UK and MD (Hom) from the prestigious world renowned Mumbai University. He has also pursued Post graduate training in Addictions Treatment from Canada and a Fellowship in Advanced Homeopathy from the Other Song International Academy.

His deep connection with teaching has motivated him to be attached to various homeopathic colleges in and outside Mumbai as faculty to name a few Virar Homeopathic college, Virar, Chinchwad Homeopathic college, D.Y.Patil Homeopathic college, Pimpri, and lastly YMT Homeopathic medical college, Mumbai as a Professorin Dept of Materia Medica since last 25 years. He is presently attached as a Dean at Dr Batra’s Homeopathic Academy, Mumbai affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. He is also attached to the Homeopathic Dernegi in Turkey and ABRAHCON School of Homeopathy in Brasilia, Brazil as a Guest Teacher for their advanced post graduate Homeopathy.

Dr Samir has been teaching and practicing homeopathy in India and abroad since last 26 years and has specialized in treatment of Allergies, Asthma, Arthritis, Autoimmune disorders, ADHD, Autism and other learning and behavioral disorders. He has presented research papers at various national and international conferences and seminars in Dubai, Brazil, Turkey, Malaysia, Canada, USA, Australia, NZ, to name a few.

New World Homoeopathic Remedies A–Z

When Samuel Hahnemann laid the foundations of homoeopathy, the materia medica consisted of a relatively limited number of proved remedies. A remarkable expansion occurred when homoeopathy reached the New World. American physicians—drawing upon eclectic medicine, indigenous healing traditions, and folk practices—made profound contributions to the homoeopathic armamentarium. Through this synthesis emerged some of the most beautiful and powerful remedies, such as Lachesis and Apis, which continue to enrich our practice.

These New World remedies added entirely new dimensions to homoeopathic therapeutics. While a few remain in regular clinical use, many others have gradually faded into obscurity—remembered more by name than by experience. Yet within these rare and forgotten medicines lies a wealth of untapped clinical potential.

Let us explore these New World remedies—both those that survived in daily practice and those that were left behind by time. This lecture is an attempt to revisit rare American remedies, to examine whatever reliable materia medica and clinical evidence is available, and to restore their relevance through thoughtful, experience-based prescribing rather than mere theoretical enumeration.

Webinar: Cardiac Case Presentations

Herman Jeggels, MD (VU Amsterdam), MRCP (UK), FBIH (Hon), DHM (Hon), is a former consultant physician, who was put off by homeopathy during his 4th year medical course in 1984. He passed the postgraduate RCPs exam in 1992. He returned to homeopathy due to seeing regular medicine’s therapeutic shortcomings in the UK during 1991. He has employed homeopathic therapeutics for the past 33 years, with a special interest in cardiology.

He presents the management of a few cardiac pathologies based on a few aphorisms and their footnotes. Thus footnote 1 of §1, then §6-7 in conjunction with §154-155. Subsequently, he briefly discusses the diagnosis of a disease/deviations in §72-104, the knowledge of the tools to cure in §105-145, and finally, the judicious employment of remedies §146-285.

He presents the importance of physical signs in the evaluation of pulmonary arterial hypertension and presents some cases of 3rd degree heart block, and left bundle branch block.
